The Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12 fleet start the Alicante qualifying race which will see the boats run through various technical tests, ahead of the in-port race on 29/10/2011. (Credit must read: IAN ROMAN/Volvo Ocean Race)
La regata si svolge su un percorso che porta la flotta a navigare fino a Palma di Maiorca, nelle Baleari, per poi fare ritorno ad Alicante, dove l’arrivo è previsto nelle prime ore di domenica.
